The history of Stena RoRo
Stena RoRo, a wholly integrated division of Stena AB, was one of the first participants in the RoRo market. Its experience, knowledge of vessel operation and close customer relationships give Stena RoRo a competitive advantage. In addition, Stena RoRo is considered a leader in the development and deployment of technologically advanced vessels.​

A milestone in the Stena RoRo story was in 1977 when 11 new RoRo vessels were built at Hyundai Shipyard in South Korea. This order was an important and crucial starting-point for our future RoRo operations. In the nearly 35 years since then, we have engaged in successful business activities and the above-mentioned vessels are all still trading in the market.
